West Ham have made a £17.1 million bid for attacking jewel Valentin Carboni
West Ham United have apparently made a £17.1 million bid for Inter Milan youngster Valentin Carboni.
With deadline day now upon us, West Ham boss David Moyes will surely be trying to get at least one more signing over the line before the January transfer window slams shut.
Valentin Carboni is one player in particular who has been heavily linked with a January move to the Hammers, and a recent report suggested that we had a bid worth around £1213 million rejected for the 18yearold attacking midfielder.
However, it seems as though West Ham have actually offered a far greater sum for the talented teenager.
Tuttomercatoweb are claiming that the Hammers lodged a €20 million (£17.1 million) bid for the Argentine wonderkid – one that has been rejected by Inter.
Perhaps we’ll have to wait until the summer before we have any chance of signing Carboni…
West Ham made improved Valentin Carboni bid
The Hammers have been knocked back again by Inter, so it remains to be seen whether we go back in for him at the end of this season.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Carboni is a real talent and has the potential to go on and become a real star of the game.
If West Ham really did make a £17 million odd bid for him, Moyes must rate him incredibly highly.
Monza manager Raffaele Palladino recently raved about Carboni, describing him as a ‘jewel’, as quoted by Sempre Inter:
“Talent must be protected. Carboni is a jewel. Now he is ready to prove his worth. I’m not worried about the media exposure as we’re talking about a very serious young man.”
The South American starlet possesses outstanding technical ability and is an absolute joy to watch play football.
As things stand though, Valentin Carboni will not be joining West Ham on deadline day unfortunately.
